Instagram post 2191774657904168110_205370186 Thank you for the messages, support and to those that could come today.
Dad loved a good crisp day. He was happier in the shade or even happier walking in the hills with the dog on a foggy day so the fact today the fog didnโ€™t lift actually didnโ€™t surprise me.
Dad once told that life is a bit like a mist.. โ€œThe mist will wrap itself around you; it is silent not cold. It is as white as the first snow of winter not grey and dark like fog. It sparkles with the snow behind it, the very thing that will disperse it and take it away. You can see the mist; you can feel it, it wraps itself around you, it gets in your clothes, your hair, your skin, you can smell it, you can breathe it, you can even taste it.
But the one thing you can not do is hold it.โ€ I totally get that now.

Caravanning with children

June 29, 2017      admin      1 Comment

Last summer we headed off to France for a couple of weeks towing the caravan. Dylan was 7 years old and Matilda 16 months. We have always camped and we had long weekends away with the caravan but France was the longest time we had been away with the caravan. I thought it would be worth sharing some of the things I have learnt from taking the children away on a caravan holiday. I am sure plenty of people have other tips too so please let me know.
