Happy 7th Birthday to the best dog and cat mother Happy 7th Birthday to the best dog and cat mother in the world. I know people always think they have the best dog but seriously Penny is in the top ten. Loyal and loving and just the easiest dog ever to look after and have around.

We all want another but she has been so good from day one that I’m terrified of what sort of luck we would get with another one 🤦‍♀️ if only humans could be a bit more like Penny (without the sniffing bums part) 🥰
Manchester has changed SO much. It has been years Manchester has changed SO much. It has been years since we went into the centre itself. What hasn’t changed is the people, atmosphere and my love for the city that will always be home.

To Perpignan and back. An odyssey 2 years in the making.

October 2019. A campsite in Cornwall, the rain lashing down while we sat in the caravan. “You know what? I want a beach holiday, lets look at heading to the south of France next year when we go. Guaranteed sunshine, white sands, turquoise seas, bliss. Lets do it” Fast forward 2 years, 10 months later. Article 50 has been signed, the UK has left the EU, and a new respiratory virus has changed the world. We’ve lived through unprecedented times, our lives but on hold, milestones for the children ...

In France with Isabella

September 3, 2019      admin      6 Comments

“What tone should I set with this Isabella review?” “Don’t Swear” Editor in chief Mrs EBF doesn’t like colourful language in blog posts. She’s just asked me to write a post about our holiday to France, a 1000 mile tour, incorporating 3 separate campsite stays, with two different caravan awnings to put up, with no swearing involved. You know what. It’s easy. To really understand what our holiday meant to us I need to take you back 2 years ago. My Dad was diagnosed with incurable ...

Caravanning with children

June 29, 2017      admin      1 Comment

Last summer we headed off to France for a couple of weeks towing the caravan. Dylan was 7 years old and Matilda 16 months. We have always camped and we had long weekends away with the caravan but France was the longest time we had been away with the caravan. I thought it would be worth sharing some of the things I have learnt from taking the children away on a caravan holiday. I am sure plenty of people have other tips too so please let me know. We all know how great caravanning is for children ...

March 12, 2017      admin      3 Comments

With the recommendations of campsites and caravan sites from a group I help administrate called 'family days local places to go in South Wales' the following list has been produced. The list is made up of mainly campsites in Wales but we have a few others in the mix that needed to be mentioned. I have popped links on for the website's so you can click on any you that you may fancy. The list is in no particular order just simply recommended sites. If you would like to add any others please ...

Carry on caravanning

January 15, 2017      admin      5 Comments

We have always camped. For years it has always been in tents but last year we decided it was time to upgrade to a caravan. Don’t get me wrong I love a tent but I was so tired of all the packing of bags and trying to organise the kit in the tent. We wanted to get abroad and simply cannot afford the prices; this seemed like the only way we could do it. We love getting closer to nature, exploring lots of different places on a budget (after buying the caravan, of course) and not having to travel ...
