Magic Fairy Wings in May

Magic Fairy Wings in May

We have had a birthday boy in the house this month. I honestly do not remember him being so excited about a birthday before. I also do not remember ever struggling so much to come up with birthday present ideas before either. All he wanted was a venus fly trap. We managed to get that sorted but then what else? He loves to be outside and has become more and more involved in creating all sorts of homes for different…

Wychwood Festival – 2013

Wychwood Festival – 2013

Wychwood 2013 Review After a weekend at Wychwood Festival, my son ran through the school door telling his teacher and friends all about dragons, staying up late, making friends, eating crumpets, dancing to music, seeing Mr Bloom, bubbles and bouncy castles. So if you asked him if he enjoyed it, I would say it was a big YES.  But from a parent’s perspective, it wasn’t all plain sailing. We arrived late afternoon Friday and there where no queues to get…

Not for boys. Not for girls. Clothes for children.

Not for boys. Not for girls. Clothes for children.

Piccalilly clothing have asked me to guest post for them. Pretty exciting as I’ve never produced a guest post before. They wanted someone to write about unisex clothing. This is a subject that I have been meaning to write about for sometime as having a boy and a girl it has become something that at times has really frustrated me. I admit that I do love a dress. I suppose after boys clothes shopping for 8 years it’s a nice…

Magic fairy wings in April

Magic fairy wings in April

Each month the children have the wonderful job of testing out a few toys or products from magic fairy wings. A site that I am lucky enough to be ambassador for. This month we had two products to play with. A canvas butterfly painting set made by melissa and doug and a butterfly lunch box from bugzz. Butterfly canvas set  Each kit includes everything you need to turn a rainy afternoon into a wall-worthy masterpiece: a preprinted canvas stretched over…

Bluestone – No such thing as bad weather

Bluestone – No such thing as bad weather

It rained and rained then rained some more. From the second we arrived till the second we left it rained but as my husband always tells me “there is no such thing as bad weather just inappropriate clothing”. Well the wellies and waterproofs got put very much to the test at Bluestone but do you know what? It did not spoil a single second. With so much to do and see it really did not bother us. Bluestone very kindly…

Gotta New Rose

Gotta New Rose

I am a very lucky lady.  The team at Rose and Rebellion asked Matilda and I to have a go at using their inbetween carrier. We already have the baby and toddler carrier and we love it so jumped at the chance of trying out the larger size. The main difference between the two is pretty much down to the weight that you carry but the inbetween carrier also has a extra chest strap and is just a little larger….

Greenman Festival. Those were the days, my Friend.

Greenman Festival. Those were the days, my Friend.

As I sat down in the Caravan awing on Friday night, the children asleep, Mrs EBF out enjoying the festival, I thought about how I would write this review. It occurred to me that this year is my 26th year of attending Music Festivals in the UK. I was never a “Lads Holiday” kind of bloke, my idea of a fun summer was in a field somewhere with my friends, listening to music that we all were obsessive about. My…

Disneyland Paris

Disneyland Paris

We have just got back from the most wonderful two weeks in France. We finished the holiday off with two days at Disneyland Paris. We stayed at a caravan site a short drive away which we came back to at night ready to do it all again the following day. I have heard of people going for one day but I have no idea how you fit it all in. It was hard enough getting it all in over two…

Hampton Court Castle and Garden.

Hampton Court Castle and Garden.

Today we visited a hidden gem in Herefordshire. Hampton Court Castle and Gardens can be found between Hereford and Leominster (close to the junction of the A49 and A417). Free Parking, it cost £13 for adults to go around the castle and gardens and £7.25 for children over 5 (under 5 free). You can pay to just go around the gardens and that would save you a few pounds off each entry. Set in beautiful grounds you can easily spend…
