Finally made it out for the shortest and slowest of walks with the crazy hound. It’s going to take time and patience. Baby steps to getting better.

Ideas for decorating a child’s bedroom

November 18, 2018      admin      Leave a Comment

A child’s bedroom needs to serve multiple purposes – playroom, study and sanctuary – but its most important role is to provide your child (whatever their age) with a place of comfort and safety to lay their weary heads at the end of a busy day.

New bedroom make over ideas 1. Paint – Paint has always been perhaps the cheapest and easiest way to dramatically change a room.  Use that to your advantage when your child wants to drastically change things up in their bedroom.

2. Throw Rugs & Accent Rugs – I LOVE putting rugs in bedrooms. Not only are they inexpensive and come in a TON of colors and styles, you can choose a variety of sizes depending on how much floor you want to cover.

3. Rearrange Furniture – Children will be amazed at just how different there room is when the bed is pushed against a different wall. Move a few pieces around and it’s like a completely new space. Even adding a bean bag or two can make a massive difference.

4. Windows – We recently had to replace windows in my daughters room. It has made such a difference especially now the colder weather is coming. It’s lovely, cosy and snug. Which also saves on the heating bills. Make sure to shop around for the best places to get new windows.

5. Photos – I love to print photos taken of not just the children but the whole family and put them in frames in the children’s bedrooms. A really quick and easy way to brighten up a bedroom.

6. Recycling – Have a good clear out. Especially with Christmas coming, send toys to charity or give to friends. The children’s rooms will look refresher and have more space.

7. Maps – Maps are cheap to buy and make wonderful wallpaper. My son loves to mark all the places that he one day is determined to visit. Map ideas for decorations in bedrooms
