Happy 7th Birthday to the best dog and cat mother Happy 7th Birthday to the best dog and cat mother in the world. I know people always think they have the best dog but seriously Penny is in the top ten. Loyal and loving and just the easiest dog ever to look after and have around.

We all want another but she has been so good from day one that I’m terrified of what sort of luck we would get with another one 🤦‍♀️ if only humans could be a bit more like Penny (without the sniffing bums part) 🥰
Manchester has changed SO much. It has been years Manchester has changed SO much. It has been years since we went into the centre itself. What hasn’t changed is the people, atmosphere and my love for the city that will always be home.

Winter holidays are quickly becoming a favourite for many Brits in more recent times. Statistics show that about 29% of people plan on taking a winter holiday this year. You’re probably planning your next snow holiday if you love cold weather. It’s never too early to start gearing up, as the weather can change any time soon. You can do many things while exploring and appreciating the snowy landscapes of your destination. So, whether you want something relaxing or adventurous, here are some of the best places to visit this upcoming winter.

  1. The French Alps

The French Alps is regarded as a winter paradise between November and March. It’s the perfect ski destination, surrounded by snow-capped mountains, gondolas, and delicious cups of hot chocolate. The French Alps is vast and filled with numerous equally beautiful destinations with a wide range of visitor activities. One of the best locations is Méribel, a perfect location for ski lovers and people who enjoy the outdoors.

You can rent a gorgeous and luxurious ski chalet that offers incredible views of the Alps. You’d love several other amenities, such as the tasty cuisine and the hot tub. You wouldn’t want to return home after holidaying in the French Alps. Places like skiblue.co.uk have some of the best accommodation options for travellers, so keep this in mind.

  1. Swedish Lapland

Known as “Europe’s last wilderness” and home to the Sami people, Swedish Lapland is an extremely beautiful destination with stunning wildlife. It’s also home to the famous ICEHOTEL, where you can eat and drink from ice utensils or sleep in a room made with snow. It’s a place worth visiting if you fancy yourself an adventurer. You can do several other activities while visiting Swedish Lapland, including exploring reindeer farms, ice fishing, dog sledding, and elk safaris. You can even brave the cold and partake in survival skill training excursions.

This destination is also home to some of Sweden’s best cuisine and is a haven for a culinary adventure. If you’re a food enthusiast, you would love to sample its local dishes, such as the Arctic Char. For more relaxing activities, there are several saunas and wellness spas where you can unwind.

  1. Antarctica

There’s nowhere like Antarctica when embarking on a truly adventurous snow holiday. The entire icy content is filled with impressive yet scary icebergs, penguins, and some of the world’s biggest humpback whales. If you’re into photography, its beautiful landscape would be a dream to capture. It’s much easier to get to Antarctica these days. You can go on a cruise, where you get to see the amazing wildlife of the continent, as well as admire its natural beauty. You would feel like an explorer during your trip. Not many people have been to Antarctica so you would have bragging rights for a long time.

You don’t have to stay throughout the winter. Turn this season into one that you always look forward to because of the amazing travel opportunities and destinations. Your winter months will never be the same again.
