Happy 7th Birthday to the best dog and cat mother Happy 7th Birthday to the best dog and cat mother in the world. I know people always think they have the best dog but seriously Penny is in the top ten. Loyal and loving and just the easiest dog ever to look after and have around.

We all want another but she has been so good from day one that I’m terrified of what sort of luck we would get with another one 🤦‍♀️ if only humans could be a bit more like Penny (without the sniffing bums part) 🥰
Manchester has changed SO much. It has been years Manchester has changed SO much. It has been years since we went into the centre itself. What hasn’t changed is the people, atmosphere and my love for the city that will always be home.

Why Staycations Should Be Your First Choice

November 15, 2022      admin      Leave a Comment

The pandemic changed the way many people choose to take their vacations, and most people are taking their annual leave now knowing that air travel has become stricter and more expensive. When you have two to three years out of Commission, ticket prices are bound to shoot through the roof. That doesn’t mean you shouldn’t get to go on holiday though, right? As we slowly transitioned to a period of least restriction, plenty of people are starting to look forward to booking their holiday again.

They’re also choosing to stay at home. That doesn’t mean they’re not actually going anywhere, but instead of booking for a resort in Jamaica they are looking at the Sandy Cove Hotel Devon instead. Have a staycation instead of a vacation, because they know that staying at home means they’re going to be able to save some money while still being away from their usual grind. So,  let’s take a look at all of the reasons that you should choose a staycation this year.

  • Staycations are super easy to plan. All you have to do is look for a hotel that’s within driving or public transport distance from you and go. You don’t necessarily have to do research for an itinerary, because you are going to be on your home turf, so it’s likely you already know what attractions are available. You also don’t have to worry about wiping out a calculator for budgeting, unless you plan to make sure that this vacation is as luxurious as possible.
  • You don’t have to pack too much. That most staycations are done in a shorter period of time rather than two weeks or three weeks at a time, you won’t have to pack as much as usual. Most hotels also are already well prepared with amenities such as towels and toiletries, she don’t always have to bring those with you either. Of course it depends on the type of staycation you are going to, so always cheque with the location you plan to visit before you get there.
  • The options are fairly endless. If you are looking to jump into a caravan break, you can do that on a staycation. If you are looking to stay in a hotel and make sure to explore the local area, that’s available to you as well. You could even stay in a cabin in the woods if that’s what you want to do, because that vacation option is also available to you. You don’t have to go to some Amazon rainforest across the world to be able to explore, and that’s the whole point. Instead, you get to explore the local gems available to you in your home country.
  • It’s far cheaper to do a staycation than it is to go abroad. If there’s one thing that people have learned as a pandemic, is that they are no longer as picky as they used to be when it comes to going on vacation. That means you can save a lot of money with a staycation instead. You’ll save a lot of time, because you don’t have to go on a long haul vacation with an airplane, and you’re going to save money because you won’t have to spend the money on flights like you would normally have done. It’s a whole new way of traveling and enjoying yourself so why not get involved?
