Sunny Winter Escapes For 2023

October 19, 2022      admin      Leave a Comment

Winter holidays are always filled with excitement. For many British holidaymakers, winter is one of the favourite times to travel. Indeed, winter is the perfect season to plan a snow trip. As the months are getting colder, there is a high chance of a white Christmas in the French Alps of the Swedish Lapland. A snowy Christmas can truly be a magical moment for the whole family!

But the winter season has many more holiday opportunities. While you may want to enjoy a white landscape for Christmas, come January and February, and you will be needing some sunlight. So what are the best tips to have a sunny winter break at the start of 2023? If you are unsure where to go, here are 3 ideas that will certainly fight any seasonal affective disorder!

Florida

There’s a reason why everybody dreams of visiting Florida: It is one of the states with the mildest winter temperatures. January and February count among the best months to visit Florida as you can enjoy the sunshine state with lower crowds and rates. There are plenty of great deals at Ocean Florida for travel and accommodations, including staying at Miami Beach for a much-needed sunbathing vacation.

Another thing you want to keep your eyes on when visiting Florida is DisneyWorld in Orlando. With average temperatures ranging between 22C and 24C, January and February invite Disney lovers to visit the park without the seasonal crowds!

The Australian summer

The Australia weather is the reverse of our British weather. Therefore, when we wrap ourselves in woollen jackets in January, Australian are going to the beach in their best summer outfits. February marks the middle of the summer season, with temperatures ranging from warm to burning hot. Coastal cities such as Sydney and Melbourne can experience heat waves in summer, yet they will have beautiful beaches to enjoy. If you prefer cooler temperatures, Tasmania is a fantastic option, with average February temperatures reaching around 20C.

Some of the best places to visit for beaches are in New South Wales and Victoria. But if you prefer remote areas, the North Coast can be the perfect spot for your family!

Phuket

February in Thailand is a dream come true! The seasonal Christmas tourism has already thinned out by that point, but the weather is still warm and relatively dry. You can experience temperatures around the low 20s til the low 30s, the perfect summer day! Accommodation rates are going down again after the peak seasons, so you can find great deals. Phuket welcomes smaller crowds of visitors in its clear waters, and one thing we can say is that it’s the best season to enjoy the magic of the place.

February is the last month before the heat becomes too aggressive in the Northeast of the country, so if you wish to visit Thailand, it’s the best time to plan beach days and guided tours.

If you are looking for a healthy dose of sunshine this winter, book a trip to one of these sunny destinations. From beach weather to empty park rides, January and February are the best months for a cheeky winter trip in the sun!
