So here we go again. Green Man Festival. Our 7th year, the Festival’s 15th. I have waxed lyrical over this festival for every year we have been, we fell in love with Green Man, we made lifelong friends and have told anyone who will listen that Green Man IS the best festival in the country. So, what the hell am I going to write about? What’s new? How do I keep you, dear reader, transfixed?! This year we were accompanied by some friends that we’ve known all our lives. As a ...

Green Man Festival – 2015 Review
We had the absolute pleasure of attending Green Man Festival again this year. We adore this beautiful festival and jumped at the opportunity of being able to review it again. ARRIVAL AND THE SITE You may think you have taken a wrong turn driving to Green Man, you travel along very narrow roads to get to it but when you see the top of the tents poking through the trees you know you have arrived. The family car park sold out quickly again this year as did the live in areas so ...
The green, green artificial grass of home
I sometimes wonder if we actually have a dog or a rabbit. My back garden looks like it’s had a plough go across it. My gorgeous 2 year old Labrador does love to have a dig. The Lane families top ten recommended festivals for 2019.. in no particular order. Green Man - 15th - 18th August - Crickhowell. Love Green man lots. Absolutely ...
Top Five Family Festivals 2018
So many festivals and so little Summer. The choice is huge now. When I first started writing about and taking the children to festivals you really didn’t have much choice but you could now spend a whole summer going from one festival to another. It’s hard for me not to be slightly biased towards some festivals as I work at them but my favourites are based on my experiences and my sons (he helped with this post) and friends experiences. We have picked five favourites and have listed in no ...
The flying seagull project
We first met the Flying Seagulls at Wilderness Festival in 2012. One of the first areas we tend to head for is the children’s area at any festival. Within minutes we noticed the Seagulls, and who could miss them? In every children’s area they tend to attract the largest crowds, never an empty seat when they perform unless they have you dancing, jumping around and becoming part of the show. They become the backbone of every kids’ area they perform in. My son then 3 years of age ...
