At last!!!! She was originally booked on the cours At last!!!! She was originally booked on the course run by @bikerightuk the Summer of Covid and of course it’s taken this long to get her back on it.

So pleased I strongly believe that swimming and cycling are so important for children and she’s now swimming like a fish and riding like a Olympian (well nearly 😆)

Always like coming home. Especially when it’s on Always like coming home. Especially when it’s only a 30 minute drive away 😆

One month to go and I can’t wait to have the time with my eldest to celebrate school being out for the Summer ❤️

30 years I’ve known Mr Lane. The reason we met, 30 years I’ve known Mr Lane. The reason we met, the person that introduced us, a good friend, the best of friends left us a today.

I am shocked of course not just for what I’ve lost but for her family.
Doesn’t feel real that such a friend, the best of friends with the greatest of memories has gone.

I don’t drink mid week but tonight I will be having a drink for her but not a special brew like back in the day!

So many amazing memories, how blessed I was to know her ❤️
‘When you grow up and have children of your own ‘When you grow up and have children of your own do please remember something important a stodgy parent is no fun at all. What a child wants and deserves is a parent who is sparky’

Happy Father’s Day to all the Dads those sparky Dads, go and give them a squeeze from me today. I was so lucky to have the sparkiest of them all ❤️

Baby

Managing the first few months of parenthood.

The above photograph came up on my time hop this morning along with the words 'it's 10pm and I am ready to party'. I would love to say it made me think nice thoughts of baby cuddles and kisses but it actually turned my stomach! Dylan was a good sleeper and from 3 months would sleep right through and most of the day if I let him but Tilly took slightly longer and I managed on a few hours sleep most nights and that was on a good night. I'm not complaining (honestly) but it got me thinking about ...

Sling babies

"You will make a clingy baby" "Doesn't that hurt your back?!" "What if you fall over?" "Can't you afford a pram?" All of these questions and more have been asked whilst I have carried Tilly. I didn't carry Dylan for long, after a hideous labour and the fact he was nearly 11lb it never really happened also I was unaware of the correct way to carry him. I had a forward facing carrier which he dangled in which not surprisingly he was never happy in and it destroyed my back. We moved into the ...

A letter for my baby

You're first birthday has come and gone. We no longer tend to count your age in months but count it in years. Your moving away from babyhood and becoming a toddler. I fear it won't be long until you are up and running around. You love your big brother so much and adore any animal especially the crazy cats, you have such a delightful personality and you are such a happy girl. I love that you dance to any beat, even the terrible out of time beats your brother plays on his drums. I ...

A more mature mum

About 6 months ago I joined a Facebook group for parents with babies all born on the same year and month. I'm not sure why I joined this group, it was a decision made in the middle of one, never ending breast feeding night feed. It's a lovely group but the one thing that has struck me is how old I am compared to all the other mothers in it. Some could be my children and we could be discussing my grandchildren. It's a lovely group though and at times although I feel old it is also nice to give ...

Getting baby to recreate bump photographs

April 21, 2016      admin      Leave a Comment

A year ago to the day a professional photographer took a number of stunning photograph's of a very large baby bump. Today we went out and tried to recreate some of the photographs and had great fun getting covered in paint in the process. We plan to do this every year. Just a little something to embarrass her at her 18th! ...
